Okie dokie! Writeup time!

The highly anticipated rematch between the two titans of STA Silver 5v5, FoE and SoW. Incase you weren't here for the 70+ comment thread on the match, apparently SoW decided it would be a good idea to get a one cap lead and hold the ball on wolteg_r. Unfortunatly, even the STA 5v5 admins thought this was a lame move, and declared the match void. Thus, we had to face off again on the great battlefield of 2mesa4, a map which does not include a ball. Interesting.

Round One:
Round one started on SoW's server which must be on ISDN in the basement of someone in Iowa (FaZe) because everyone on FoE was getting 100+ ping, and I was getting 250 ping. This made it very easy to miss concs and fall in the pit, which was helpful. Round one was pretty uneventful with both D's holding the flag pretty well. SoW gets a cap in the first 10 minutes, and FoE gets one in the second 10 minutes. Last 10 minutes, FoE gets a cap out to the battlements, where FaZe decides that the battlements are a good place to die with the flag. In another amazing stroke of genious by the FoE team, Blade, the defensive soldier, decides to go offense to help get the flag out. Not only does he not get the flag out, but SoW gets a second cap while Blade is failing at helping the offense. Good job!

20-10

Round Two:
Round two starts on FoE's server which is good for everyone except me (thank you Phanny). This round is a lot more active, with SoW again getting the first cap, followed by three caps from FoE. SoW gets another cap out, and it becomes a back and forth cap fest with me blaming the D for everything, and jimbo being so positive and optimistic that it's disturbing. Thanks to my amazing O partner jimbo, we actually do something productive on O round two instead of sitting around being stupid.

70-60

Oh noes, tied. Sudden death overtime.

Overtime:
Overtime is back on their server (AWESOME) with the same amazing pings. Since it was sudden death no one really expected it to last more than two minutes. Five minutes into the match FoE decides to blow their grate to get things rolling. Suddenly SoW gets the flag thanks to FoE's D deciding it's a good time to fail, and gets out of the flagroom. Almost five seconds after, I get the flag out after jimbo emps the flagroom, and get blown out of the flagstroke of genious by the FoE team, Blade, the defensive soldier, decides to go offense to help get the flag out. Not only does he not get the flag out, but SoW gets a second cap while Blade is failing at helping the offense. Good job!

Anyways, we'll probably not defend the title because we're FoE. Thanks for the lame match on wolteg_r, and for showing us your amazing prowess with your 200-0 shut out win, SoW.
