OGL win for /tmp!!!
We challenged up last night to play PWG (that's Pimps with Grenades) for rung #38. After a small try at playing on their server, PWG realized that pingage was pretty bad for both sides and graciously offered to let us play both rounds on our server. Pretty darn cool.
Rd1- 2forts
We usually assume that this is going to be a boring map, but in this match, this was not the case. We started out with a quick cap, but while our defense was still figuring out who was playing where (not sure how that happened :)) PWG managed to pull out 3 quick flags. Our offense was stumbling a bit because we weren't ready for PWG tenacious contention of every foot.
But we managed to put it together. Soon, with Tempy clearing the way, Yohan, Cari and The GoodSon were able to make frequent trips to the flag room. Me, other than a few stabs, I spent most of my time dying. As usual.
While this was happening, our defense sorted itself out and shut the doors. "NO VACANCY" was the order of the round from then on out. Air Sparky with 8 dispensor kills. Whoa...our cafe at work doesn't have that many soda fountains!!

This was an interesting round. After we struggled our way through round 1 but managed to pull out some flags, PWG decided they didn't want us near their flag again. They really put up some serious defense. To the point that later on in the round we had to call our defense to come help us break through theirs. But break through we did. It really required some serious teamwork but we hauled out 4 flags, while our defense only gave up 1 (yes,count 'em, ONE) touch on our flag. Whoa!! Cari, The Goodson, Budzie and Zaffod mananged to touch their flag 31 times!! Nice work!! Budzie, did you really have 16 knife kills? Geez. No, ones where you stabbed Zaff and I don't count!!! But, that's another story.
