Close win in TFL makes us berry berry happy
Wow, great match against K}{R tonight. I will probably be saying that for a while. Wow!! We?ve played these guys before and know that when we do, it?s all about a clean, tough, fun match. There were no surprises tonight. This happens to be one of the more fun maps (Oppose2k1) to play so I?ve been pretty jazzed about it all week.
Rd1 - Our server. One of their guys had a ping of about 400 most of the match. Ouch. I think most off the rest had pretty good routes to our server and so had fair pings. We started off pretty fast, I guess we sorta caught ?em off guard because we managed to pull 3 quick flags, while our defense held ?em done pretty well. But they came roaring back. At one point in the round I think it was 4-3 but we caught a few breaks and held ?em to just 4 total caps while we pulled out 3 more. Score /tmp 70 ?40
Rd2 - Their server. We had pretty okay connections to their server, though for some reason Zaffod had a pretty horrible ping and Axiom filled in for him. Pretty much the whole round was a trade of really hard fought caps. We would sneak, spam, shoot and conc our way to a flag while they did the same. Their offense fought hard, as did their defense. What an amazing round. We would cap, they would cap. Then they would pull one and we would follow suit. A couple of times the flags passed each other in the yard. But in the end they had the final cap to win the round. But, just barely, we had their flag right outside our own door where they fought heroically to keep us from capping. Score K}{R 40-30
Final score: 100-80 /tmp
If more clans were as fun and good natured as these guys, I would never stop playing this game. What a class act. K}{R ROCKS!!!!
