XtN over GoW

We played both rounds on the GoW per their request. We had the game casted, and I feel that this is the lowest point in my personal TFC history.

We all try to play by a code of ethics. Although unwritten, we play in matches because of the organized play that pubs usually lack. We also show a mutual respect for each other knowing what the other clan has been through and the accomplishments that the opposition has honorably acquired. Unfortunately, we sometimes fall short of this code. Sometimes, we more than fall short, we flat out destroy the intent of the game.

I am mainly to blame for the way this game turned out tonight. We came into tonight's match with a 4 game losing streak. In our private irc channel, most of us admitted that we would really be sad if we lost to GoW. In retrospect, I don't feel that my clan is half of what GoW represents, regardless of the scores above.

The GoW team truely represents all that is good in this league, and in TFC as a whole. They are here to compete, win if they can, but not at the cost of sportsmanship. I honestly can think of no other team in TFC that represents those 3 things as well as GoW.

I say this from my heart and I just hope to some day correct the wrongs that were acted out this evening.
