Swimmin wit da Sharks at OGL rung #3
OGL has been verra verra good to us. Even counting the multiple reamings by 404, we always seem to end up several drinks over the club minimum and wake up the next morning with lousy hangovers, but great stories.
Tonight we were priviledged to play the Krazy Old Bastards for rung #3 on the OGL ladder. KoB is old school and straight-up. We were rubbing our furry little hands together in gleeful anticipation all week!
As we challenged up, KoB got first and last pick of maps. They chose wisely, picking two maps that have been crueller and colder to clan tmp than a 7-Eleven slurpee enema. They picked Bases_r2 and Bloodtube. Our furry little noses scrunched up in distaste and worry.
But like mana from heaven, -dmc- came to our rescue with a brilliant defensive strategy for Bases, which went approximately like: "Just pretend our flaggie room is a really exclusive night spot and you guys are the rude-ass bouncers. Furthermore, pretend the enemy offense are guys sporting mullets trying to get in." Mullets! Who do these guys think they are??? For offense, I believe they prepared themselves by watching the now legendary "Panty Raid" scene from the Orwellian 80's epic "Revenge of the Nerds" over and over and over again. Enough with the "We've got BUSH!" binds, guys...
Then we apparently got to play Torch2. I didn't get to see much, so I spent most of the round bouncing around the upper halls and battlements like Tigger on the third day of a crystal meth binge, but with a rocket launcher and grenades. We owe nice long footrubs to both Dr and Key for playing engie. As I've seen (and smelled) Key's feet, I'm booking travel plans to see Dr somewhere in middle America. I'm not sure what exactly they did, but apparently Offense did real well. As soon as I find out what "Tidy Bowl Left", "Tidy Bowl Right", and "Tidy Bowl Middle" are, I'll let you know...
Oh, and we didn't have to play Bloodtube.
