SV over GoW
Oh man where to start. We actually got things prepped for the most part like 2 or 3 hours early. That's how pumped we were. SeniorShotgun comes into our channel and asks for an unscheduled pregame scrim. We agree and win 4-0, that got us so hype. Alot of preparation for this match, but anyway here goes.
Round 1 - |SV| Strip Club
Were checkin out pings, they were jumpy. We knew it'd be a pretty laggy match overall, but things weren't as bad as we had thought. Lots of spam on bridge. I think this map called for it. Our offense got right to work at GoW's D. Moving flags left and right. Even though alot of close flags got returned, we were still able to do well. We pull several as GoW slowly creeps behind with a couple caps. But in the end, SV came out on top 70-30.
Round 2 - GoW's Purgatory
Pings were really great. I think that got us even more excited about finishing the second half of this title bout. Match kicks off and on the scout rush, we're stopped by 2 ugly ass hws on the bridge. Very unexpected, one of our D soldiers goes hw to help us out a bit. I think the control of the bridge was really a back and forth fight. All 4 hws very talented. As our 3 meds did an excellent job moving flags, the D demo was really a hard ass about letting us just take it away. In the end, SV screamed and yelled when the 30 minute mark came, and SV was on top 60-20.
SV became the STA Silver Title Holders on July 8th 2002. Let it be known, we are a force to be reckoned with!

Great match, had lots of fun. I think SV held up their side of the bargain this week by bringing their top game to the table.
Lots of flames and talk behind our backs prior to the matchup by former allies, but it's all good.
