CoS vs 404 - Bases_r2 - 8/29/02
Round 1:
Tognight we were scheduled to play 404. Needless to
say, we entered the match with heavy hearts, as defeat
was imminent. Tensely awaiting the commencement with
baited breath, as demise was all too familiar for us.
The gates opened and we sped out to certain
demolishment. Celerity was the word of the day, as
demomen, spies and medics paved the way; for our
offense, which could not be held at bay. There was no
dearth of mirvs as Flea raided the flag room with
great swagger and sway. Temptation gave way and the
404 flag could not stay, as it was forced into the
grasp of mighty broken!(the great lay). The knife of
honor shineth brightly thenceforth, and sunk fervently
into the spines of many, as the llama Michman emerged
from the dark shadows. Whilst AQUA with the medpack of
death rode forth into the mayhem and infecteth them
heartily. Meanwhile, the defensive fortress held
strong under the harsh grasp of Yoda's behemoth: the
llama green sentry gun of castration! Hex, while under
the influence was too stoned to let the enemy touch
the ground. Denigo was enthralled with his delicious
dish for dinner, and left Tony in the dust. After much
struggle the forces of Corruption tore several caps
from the grasp of 404, and let none pass from it's own
gates. 50-0 CoS wins.


Round 2:
Excited we were, but we feared our windfall would not
last. Upon entering the Four-O-Four server we prepared
to get spanked once again. With some changes to their
squad 404 soon starting capping, while our offense
struggled to keep up. Both teams came through with
crucial comp dets and the score stood tied often.
Corrupting Defense held strong while the offense
brought home the banner in good fashion towards the
end. It became an all out melee with a narrow
Corruptor lead in the end. 85-80 CoS Wins
Total 135-80 CoS Wins. GFG 404, until next time.
