NeX over BoOz
I'd like to start this off my saying VGG right off the bat. These guys played very well. It was a clean, exciting, FUN slugfest.
Round 1: BooZ server
One of our players was suffering from 600+ lag for some reason, so it took a few moments for us to grab a sub. After a restart, we were ready to roll.
Things kicked off with several double-telefrags for our O. After that painful 18 seconds, we were off to the races. Both teams ran into unexpectedly tight Defences, and things became locked up real fast. The offenses crashed into walls of beefed Flag Rooms. It looked like we had run into a stalemate.
FINALLY, our O launced a waved strike that progressivly pulled the flag further and further back home. Despite the fiercely tenatious D of BooZ, some awsome meds and spys(and a few well placed EMPs ;)) and we nailed the first cap of the match!
Slowly but surely, two more followed before the time ran out. After a rough tangle, NeX came out on top of round one with the score at 30-0.
Round 2: NeX server
The teams knew that we couldn't afford a repeat of the last round; someone had to make waves. BooZ elected to up their Defense, NeX made two subs while keeping their strat essentially similar. Looked as though the two cancled eachother out though, as things moved even SLOWER this round!
Back and forth things went, as both teams made fairly nice pulls. But the D just REFUSED to give an inch. The first cap came when, in a desperate move, NeX opted to run a pyro and finally get through the BooZ web. Sure enough, the odd-ball play was enough to make a pull to the front door. The rest, as they say, is history... 10-0 NeX.
Final score: 40-0 NeX
VERY GOOD GAME, BooZ!
We look forward to our next meeting.
