Rd 1 - Reaper's server
Things start off on the 2nd pm this evening as I view the festivities from the HLTV bench. Recongamer's not kind to me, and neither is the map, so it was a lot prettier from that view. =) Things got underway with Reaper running an unexpected D strat that didn't settle into its effectiveness right off, so we took a 3-1 lead within the first 10 or so. Then Reaper's D and O both settle into their roles for the next 10 or so, tying it back up at 3-3. Things then got frustrating even for me to watch as a perpetual O gimp, with flags going down on both sides only to return. Then something clicked, and DoH's O went on a tear. Stuff died, flags went away, a relay or two snuck into the mix, and all in all, it was some beautiful coordination and timing. When the dust settled, it was 8-3 with DoH up.
Rd 2 - DoH Fragging Grounds
Prematch banter, TKs, gl hf, everybody dies, everybody runs into a wall. Reaper's D lost its unusual aspect, and the grind began. They held the lead in the start, 2-1, 3-1, then 3-2 them. More bashing our heads on our desks on O as we tried just about everything, and nothing worked. Just when things couldn't seem to get any worse for me, I fell off the bridge and into the pit trying to pass one of their O. Ayeeeeeeee.... Anyway, eventually things got into swing near the end of it again, with Kab killing everything as sold, and me still missing all my concs and getting nothing done. But, the rest of our O picked up my slack, and while Reaper pulled another flag to bring them to 4 for the round, we managed to yank out 5 caps, ending the round at 7-4.
So, total score 15-7 with DoH up. GG Reaper, clean and fun. =)
