KoB over NHB

Excellent match. Close, tight, clean. The way a TFC match should be.

Round 1 saw everyone on NHB's Server of Ping Suckage, located somewhere in equatorial New Guinea. Pings were equal, as was packetloss. NHB put on an excellent show of how to play on that type of server. The initial scout rushes failed and things settled into a grind. NHB kept constant pressure on the KoB flag, not allowing us the 5 point holding score. NHB capped twice, held twice, and held the KoB Offense to one flag with some stellar D work.

Round 2 moved to the KoB House of Blues. KoB's scout rush managed to telefrag almost completely, so no dice there. Back to the grind we went. NHB was still putting a lot fewer touches on the flag...but their D held the KoB O back. With about 10 minutes left, the score was tied at 35-20. Enough for a tie. Since I despise overtime (us old farts need our sleep), I called Mr. Horrible up to O and made the D do with 4. The KoB offense kicked it into high gear and pulled out a cap, putting us ahead for the match. Mr. H went back to his D command and the KoB O poured it on as NHB turned their O up a notch. The KoB D scores another hold and the O brings home another flag.

Moment of the match: 3/4 of the KoB offense sitting on the bridge looking at the flag saying "I'm out of concs" while I scream at them.

Incredible game, NHB. We look forward to playing y'all again.
