M over LLD

What can I say, I had my doubts about this map due to the fact that I had personally NEVER played it in a formal match before this, and I had heard many horror stories of yard fatties and assymetrical bases...but I'll be damned if it wasn't hella fun!

Round 1 was played on our SWEET SWEET SERVER due to some technical problems on [LLD]'s side, and boy did we agree to use our server quickly! "Hey M, can we use your server?" *9 M players immediately drop from [LLD] server and run to ours* As the round began, I had no clue what was going on...WHY WASN'T THE RESPAWN DOOR OPENING FFS...and was getting ready to blast it down with my powerful railgun. Thankfully, the doors soon opened...then a whole bunch of confusing messages like "Blue wall down early" or something like that sprang up...which I chose to ignore. Someone is going to have to explain this map to me sometime...but anyways, the round gets going quickly, with M getting a quick early touch which leads to the first cap of the round! Back on the defensive end, the incredible ugliness of the alien base made my SG all but invisible against the wall, as it mowed down scout after disbelieving scout! However, [LLD] would not be stopped so easily, and armed with flashli!
ghts they proceeded to kick my ass into the ground shortly after. Now the touches came steadily, with our flag being tossed down constantly. However, our defense was able to guard most of the tosses well, which led to many hard-fought returns! This tremendous effort was in part due to tight communication and team effort, but mostly due to my extreme ownage as an engineer. Man oh man, did I own that shit up. Hooooo boy! You should have SEEN! But I digress...moving on, several of the tosses did in fact lead to caps, and the [LLD] offense worked hard to pull out two very well deserved caps! On the offensive end, M.Senor and company got rolling, and somehow pulled out four caps! Offensive high-scorer was M.Senor, aka. rones, and he wins himself his first ever OFFENSIVE MVP TROPHY! Great job senor, keep in mind the trophy has no resale value whatsoever so don't even think about it. Defensive high-scorer was myself, so to avoid bias ONCE AGAIN, I shall award the defensi!
ve MVP trophy to M.SubAt0Mic, who racks himself a nice score of 37-2 as yard fatso. I'm not sure how he avoided dying...perhaps because he played far enough away from my stray EMPs. If memory serves me correctly, Subbo has many of these MVP trophies already...I hope the power doesn't go to his head! Round ends with M on top, 8-4!

Round 2 was thankfully played again on our home server...looks like the nightly goat sacrifices that M.Fusion makes are kicking in! We knew going in that [LLD] would come back strong, so we hardened our resolve with some Flintstones vitamins, strenghened our bones with some chocolate milk, and cemented our composure with some Beethoven! Or at least I did...can't really speak for the rest of my team, but I'm sure that's what they did too. This time, [LLD] struck first, grabbing the quick cap from our bewildered clutches. However, not to be outshone, our offense kicked it into high gear, and answered the cap shortly after! I don't think our offense knows how to conc, however, as it takes them 3-4 minutes to cap the flag even after bringing it to our yard. One time, both flags sat literally in the same spot in our yard, and the ensuing madness was quite a wondrous sight! I think I killed more of our O than theirs at that point...but whatever, they deserve to burn in hell!
anyways. Anyways, lots of cool stuff happened on the defensive end, but I have no clue what...all I would get is "OMFG ROFLMAO" in team cheat, and just assume some sort of midair or triple dispenser kill happened. Defensive high-scorer is once again *ME*, but the unbiased choice goes to M.Mandingo, my fellow engy! Spectactular performance from a below average player! What a night! Offensive MVP goes to M.busta, aka. dirtbag, who once again shows us that Canadians are better than Americans! You heard me ramp...you heard me. Round ends with M on top once again, 8-6!

Final score: M wins, 16-10

Great game [LLD], we truly look forward to our next match!

*Obligatory Terry Tate quote*
THAT'S A LONG DISTANCE CALL, DOUG!
