Rabid over IOD

Well what can I say? This was a battle of latency. The first round was on IOD?s server, which was on the west coast, giving them a 50-ping advantage over us. Both defenses started out strong, but soon both teams were running constant heavy offense. The class of the night seemed to be soldier as IOD ran three of them at us, at one point, leaving our spiking defenders to deal with an

First of all, this was one of the more intensive games we have played in TFL.
Round One:
The first round was pretty intense as both teams ran a heavy offense of medic and soldiers. At first no one was getting anywhere with the flag, but about 10 minutes into the game, Rabid scored its first cap, but was unable to follow it up with anything for another 10 minutes. However, IOD?s offense found the hole in our armor when they sent two soldiers up into the battlements that took out the SG?s and then proceeded to rocket jump to the pot. Using this tactic, they were able to pull off 3 caps in less than 5 minutes. Seeing our flaw, I fell back to cover the top a little better, and we held them to 20-40, IOD wins.

Round Two:
The second round was played on Rabid?s server, which is a little closer to home. The second round started out about the same as the last, with Rabid pulling out the first cap in about 5 minutes playing time. With both teams knowing each other?s strategies not, it was only a matter of time before each team started running flags. At about 15 minutes in Rabid was holding onto a tying lead of 30-10, but soon after IOD?s offense had a rally and capped a quick two caps to tie up the round. However, Rabid?s offense would not be denied as it pulled out two more caps with close to 10 minutes remaining in the round, and kept up their attack for a final score of 80-40, Rabid Wins.
