tM over CD
Between a conversation about male panties and how buying stuff with money is allot of fun, our faithless leader Necrobrain lays the skinny on me that on this night, he is the slave to the Target mart. I gasp, pee a little, and pull up my Pull-ups and try to think how I'm going to get the entire twisted tortured bunch of freakish kiddies to listen to crap-happy me.
Why, you ask, is the reason for my involuntary urinage? Well my friend, on Monday night, March 17th, tM faced CD for the title of Uber Bronze Title Champions in STA. With the help of Unfor/Guns/Derv, I give the assembled 9 a pep talk worthy of publication and lead them on into the somewhat lagtastic CD server for two rounds of Scrummage hell.
Nails tick, medpacks doot, and chains spin as we (im)patiently wait for prematch to end. The crowd goes AHH and the doors open and your good friends make a B-line to the tunnel to get blasted across the map to face a death worse than getting back herpes. CD has done their geometry homework, and it was time to pit our two clans against each other for massive rapage. Hey, it's late. So me and Fireball head up the rear as HW's, while liv, warbox, 4est, unf, affy, guns, and our favorite lapcat assassin, Arcadion push and push deep into the dark hearts of CD's base. We're able to get the center point fairly quickly, and are able to hold it for about 5-8 minutes, until out of nowhere CD's medics grab the center, our command point, and then instantly our entire base out of some freakish chain reaction of doom. After all our hard work of holding the center, we were tied, but alas poor CD, there was plenty of the round left to go. We keep the center dominated and occasionally hold their command point, while our attempts at a Scrum end in failure. We eventually give up the idea of getting a scrum and focus mainly on holding the center while our score creeps higher and higher. The round ends greatly in our favor 218-66.
Either we started to relax, made some bad substitutions, or CD learned our strategy and was ready to counter it (probably the latter) this round was all around much harder to win. After a prematch full of spy pills and painful moans (I swear it looked like an herbal essences commercial) CD gets one absolutely EVIL engy to EMP our once dominating HW's while their demos and hw's are able to sneak deep into our base and kill our Center defense from the inside out, and then spam the cap points to keep us from retaking the positions. Also it doesn't help that some of us were a little slow in realizing which exit to take *glares*. Anyways, we fulfill our goal and hold the center for most of the round (with the help of Owa) while making a few attempts at getting a little farther. Overall CD just kept a tighter grip on their ground than the last round, but we still squeak ahead 124-116.
Hurray. I guess now we can get out of Bronze eh? Let's hope so. GG CD
