ES over dong
As prematch started and the server reset, I didn?t really know what to expect from dong since the last time I saw them in a match. They are a 3a clan with us, so I didn?t expect an asswhomping, nor did I expect a free ride. I?m sure I speak for all of ES when I say we were ready for a grudge match, and that?s exactly what we got.
Round1:
Decent pings had by many as everyone crowded into ES server. Flags dropped and scouts from both teams flooded the arena. ES got off to a slow start as a player or two had difficulties with connection problems. Dong took a promising 10 point lead early on, and employed a classic cz2 strat with a free roaming medic who's seeming purpose was to destroy scouts. And....he destroyed them. We slowly fought our way back by landing our concs, keeping a constant pressure and utilizing our key heavyweights (pug, khill). We eventually pushed forward into their home cap, which eventually lead to a couple ES All Captures. One of which, was done by our very positive offensive captain Moon-Guardian, with 500+ ping. (GJ bro). Never the less, dong kept their heads up high and kept us on our feet with the great death matching skills of dark|2ogue and TormentoR.
Screen Freezes, 176-100 ES Favor.
Round2:
As prematch ended, I ran to the flag room with alittle bit of confidence in my stride but at the same time, expecting a much more aggressive and tougher dong team. The round started out as any other would, both teams scurrying to get the closest points. Clan dong got off to a good start and left ES a couple points behind throughout the first half of the game. ES scouts did their best, but met tough resistance from the dong offense. Schizef did an amazing job of turning over the caps and constantly keeping us busy. Disruptor from dong, deserves an honorable mention from ES as well, he did a very impressive job of letting his presence known around capture point three. Halfway into the round, we began to get some momentum and through hard work, we soon found the game tied 88-88. With the good work of Frog, Balinor, Khill we once again pushed dong back to their home cap. Props to dong as they would not give us their home cap. Soon, this very intense, very active battle found its way to an end.
Round2 Ends, 118-102 ES Favor.
ES takes dong in Thursday Night TFL 3a action, 294 - 202.
