Writeup:
DoH over IoA
There it is. The end has come to be. The Decoys of Hostility have played their final match as a 9v9 team. At 4 years minus 1 day, DoH hangs the flag down, puts the rocket launcher back in the closet and throws away the used tutu. This is supposed to be a long winded writeup, being my last in 9v9, yet I have no idea where to begin. Might as well do the match writeup... since this IS a _match_writeup_.
IGL-Q / IoA vs DoH / ss_nyx_l
Round 1. 2 cups milk 4 egg yolks 1 cup pear nectar 1 cup Sauternes ? lb Roquefort cheese 1 tablespoon roasted shallot pure? Heat 2 cups milk in a small saucepan to roughly 160? Fahrenheit, just below simmering. Do not allow it to come to a boil. Whisk the egg yolks with ? cup of the hot milk until smooth. Slowly pour the egg mixture into the saucepan, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat and continue to stir for about five minutes. The custard will thicken noticeably. Remove from heat and chill thoroughly, preferably for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. If you have a professional ice cream freezing machine, you can add the mixture after chilling the pan in an ice bath for a few minutes, but this practice is not recommended for home ice cream makers. We had a couple of quick caps right off the bat, which I tk'ed for. Zeik and Reb did all the work, and I got the cpas. MVP goes to meh! Smurph got a cb kill I think. Combine 1 cup of inexpensive Sauternes (Muscat, Beerenauslese or a late harvest Semillon or Riesling can be substituted if necessary) with 1 cup of pear nectar, and simmer down over medium heat until reduced by nearly half in volume. Add the shallot pure? just before taking the mixture off the heat, and stir until well blended. As with the custard mixture, chill this liquid thoroughly. Then we had another cap, which wasn't stolen by me. :( I was very dissapointed by this. But I was able to get another off of Reb I think. Actually, that cap I didn't get could've been us holding them and the fooked 5 extra points at the beginning of the round. Dunno. Place the chilled custard and the Sauternes liquid in the bowl of a food processor with the Roquefort cheese. Blend until almost smooth; leave some pea-sized chunks of cheese. If desired, add ? cup of coarsely ground black walnuts for a differently textured ice cream. IoA on their side got 1 cap out and may have held us or not, I don't really know. The scores got boinked at the beginning of the round and I don't know if I have the poinked scores or the right scores. Final score for round 1 : 40-15.
Freeze according to the directions of your ice cream maker. You can also pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and place it in the coldest part of your freezer, removing the mixture and running it through a food processor or blender every few hours until it is completely frozen and has a creamy, desirable texture.
Round 2. A semblance of seriousness settles into the patches you've laid in the concrete Caps where made from both sides Domestic bravura showcasing your freckled muscles encroaching on tan lines Decoys did get more though Foreign accents are welcome especially when the subject is coffee or futons or wine I stole three caps again Donations accepted in the parking-lotted dumpster twenty-four/seven no receipt Yet ended up with a sub 30 score go figure The tree with the vine-covered base must be felled before winter and its winds Wrenched by ChiK someone was A retaining wall to keep the clay from caving in The smurph got three 3 more cb's Woodchips and mulch and weeds and gravel vines and ties and fence-posts and wires Railed railed railed. RAILED RAILED RAILED SHE DID. The squirrel's nest attracts a dog a bird the pot-bellied pig its nose in the dirt I got tk'ed trying to tk someone for a fourth cap. A lesson in erosion brought to you by the land the tree fort's termites pinched by ants The round ended with 80-25.
The angle saturates your hands.
The match ended with 120-40.
