Writeup:
GoW over tmp
We've always had intense matches against /tmp/ over the years whether it was a close game or not. Round 1 of the TFL Playoffs was tonight and it was no different. Openfire is notoriously spam-filled and madness usually ensues.
Round 1 was played on /tmp/'s West Coast with pings ranging around 110 for [GoW] and 80 for /tmp/, teamwise. Still, it was a stable machine we were playing on and we held pretty well on defense despite the high pings. However, our offense just couldn't get enough home to back up the deficit. The round ended with /tmp/ up one cap over us, to make it 30-20 them.
Round 2 was played on [GoW]'s Texas server with team pings both hovering around 80 to 100. This server was much more even for both teams, excluding around three or four bad lag incidents that happened later in the match. /tmp/ got the one and only scout rush cap of the game (I was telefragged) and started off with us trailing to two. Our offense plugged away quick with a cap, and another, and another, and kept going until we were up two. I believe there was chasing going on outside the base, or pot shotting, or some such jazz, so bg to that whomever started it. The round ended 50-30 [GoW].
GG /tmp/, always an intense matchup!
