][ vs 404 match of the tiny weewees!

Well I had been looking forward to this match for quite some time now. The last time we played 404 we lost on Scrummage. we had the lead in a first-round close match, and then in the second round read just fell apart. This time we had the pleasure of playing them on a capture the flag match. red giant to be exact.

Round one 404s server part one.

so we all piled into 404s server and were looking forward towards a fun match. But after half our team showed up 404 came into the server and told us that we had to change servers because no one had rcon or FTP.

so we go back to irc to discuss what the server we will be using, and after a couple minutes we decide to use 404s game syndicate server. so every thing seems to be going fine of until about 30 seconds into the match when everyone's pings start spiking to over 250. Well we all decided that this was unacceptable and went back to irc.

so after that fiasco we all pile in to insurrections server. 404 enters the server along with insurrection and the match is about to begin. insurrection strategy utilized 2 engineers, 2 soldiers and one demo. the number two soldiers were Verse and Blink, each of them playing one of the hallways. span and I were the two engineers he played on the bridge while i played in the elevator area. and of course we had Gen playing demo. this strategy seemed to work all right, but we definitely have room to improve. on the offensive side of things we had Black Rose, Stiffler, ViSioN and gee whiz. they did an excellent job bringin home the bacon multiple times. this was a well played round of by both teams the server had some hiccups but other than that it was well done.

the rosters for insurrection in this round were pretty much the same. We had to substitute some D soldiers around because verse had to go to work. 404s offense came on a much stronger this round. And they kept the pressure on the entire match. For a time they were up by two caps in the round but we eventually caught back up with them and the round ended in a tie.

Match score 150-120

this was a close match and was very enjoyable. 404 kept it close to the end. This match was my revenge for not getting to play 404 on darkness, because I was in Europe at the time. Now in closing I will give you quotes from the people that played.
