CD over dong

Well, our match tonight vs dong is a typical example of why I'm addicted to TFC.

To start with, CD and dong have been around soooo long, tonight was our 13th match vs each other. Going in we were tied at 6 matches apiece.

The 1st round was played on the dongers home server. One of our D dropped just as PM ended, and we somehow managed to keep our flag in the pit on the initial rush. Both Ds were tight and our O grabbed a 1-0 lead after about 5 minutes. Both teams got a few touches but no caps until CD made it 2-0 halh way through the round. Four minutes later dong cut the lead in half with their 1st cap. Then CD quickly regained the 2 cap lead a minute later. We added an all important insurance cap with about 3 minutes left in the round. It turned out to be a very important cap, as dong took our flag home and capped just as time ran out on the 1st round.

Now, off to CDs server with the momentum going in dongs favor. CD capped first again about four minutes into the 2nd half, only to see dong bring one home a minute later. Dong cut our lead to one again with 15 minutes left in the match. Our O quickly retook the 2 cap lead a minute after that.
With 10 minutes to go, dong put the pressure on again as our lead shrunk back to one. Then with about 5 minutes left I started yelling for my heart medicine. The dong O was gradually pulling the tying cap out and dragging it across our yard. At the same time our O was doing the same. Our O capped about 10 seconds after dong and our D scrambled back home to prevent the relay. They had it going out, but our D knuckled down and got the return.

Once again an extremely fun match vs dong.

Oh yeah, the irony, CD won the match 7-6 and now holds a 7-6 match history advantage. I'm sure, someday, we'll be playing the 31st match to see who goes up 16-15.
