HLHS over yy
After opening week jitters, HLHS pulled it together and rolled out of their 2nd STA9 match with a convincing victory.
Hats off to :yy: who played round 2 shorthanded. 4O vs 4D is tough for any defense, gg :yy: and best of luck to you in Copper.
Great job on defense by Brewer, Negley, Meehaus, & Rollo Tomasi in round 1. Round 2 defense the same, swap SexyBW in for Meehaus. Only 6 caps given up over 2 rounds, very nice work folks.
Offense both rounds BoSlim, Mr.Jiggyfly, K-, and Bucky. Way to pour it on, we only needed 7, but got 43 just in case. Very nice work.
Fear the belt sword.

ok, ok,
First of all, we got our butts handed to us.
Secondly, we got our butts handed to us again.
And finally, we did drop a player about 5 minutes into Rnd 1 and he never showed back up, for either Rnd, lol. And we had a guy that who's ISP was givin him a fit and literally stood still for 12 minutes in RND 2. Pretty funny, ya need to check out that demo, real exciting!!
All that to say, yeah we got beat, and prolly still would have gotten beaten even full strength, but not like that, lol. Or at least I Hope??
Of course, HLHS, is prolly snickering, "Yeah, its a good thing we didnt try to run up the score, or what would they think then!" :>

I'd say we did run up the score, it was our second 9v9 match and we had 9 people show up. All 9 of us wanted to play, so we did. No one took either round off.
I appologize though, it sucks playing shorthanded, HLHS has been there many many times before. Like I said several times before, if you guys need any help we're there for you. Right now HLHS does not have to worry about attendance problems, so if we can help anyone we will try. And, hopefully, if/when the time comes where HLHS has those ol' attendance problems again, hopefully our friends will be there to help us out.

Most clans would have forfeit the second round but :yy: showed their dedication and professionalism by sticking it out and playing a second round (most of which shorthanded).
Out of that match I now have a lot of respect for :yy: and it's members. You guys play to play, not quit when the going gets tough. Hats off to you guys :)
