Writeup:

nLv over SIN

For the second time this week we got to play SIN. As history has shown, SIN's always a clean and fun game and I don't think we've once ever had anything bad to say about these guys, so it was fun. I don't really like schtop, but that's ok.

I finally got a mic, for the first time in several years and actually used it approximately 4 or 5 times. It was a major stepping stone for me.

It should also be noted that I missed out on tonight's episode of 24 to play this match. It would seem that I will be missing every episode from here on out as well. That makes me said. But writeups make me happy. So here we go.

Round 1
--------
For the first time in a LONG time, we spent an abnormally long amount of time before rd1 figuring out who could sit rather than who could play. That was a new feeling for us. After a while we figure out some lineups, but connection and IRC problems screw us up anyways. Last minute, I join the server and we switch sponge to D for rd1.

The flood gates open and for a good while this match really looks like it's going to go cap for cap. SIN grabs the first one, followed by an nLv cap a few seconds later. Finally something ticks, and for some reason SIN changes up its D a bit, leaving themselves pretty vulnerable to the onslaught.

Playing in a good server surprised me, and left me missing the majority of my concs. Metamod left whore without his custom stuff/timers, and left him befuddled as to why he was missing most of his concs as well. But we persisted!

SIN drops their engy in favor of 3 soldiers and an HW. The round is peppered with appearances by a D demo, while the SIN engineer makes sporatic appearances as well. The slipping and sliding nLv offense hits a groove and just keeps em coming after the first couple of minutes, getting a couple coast-to-coasts and a couple relays here and there.

I think that had they kept to their starting D setup they would have done a better job at keeping the match tighter.

The nLv Defense also settles down after the first few minutes and figures out what they're doing, shutting down most movement for the rest of the round.

As the round comes to a close, Metallix is pushing the 100 mark on O, and earns bragging/s3x rights back in IRC. As expected, Round 1 ended beautifully and cleanly with no flames, no nothing. Just a lot of "GG's."

Rd1 Offense: me, funk, whore, met
Rd1 Defense: sponge, shade, don, sub
Rd1 Score: 140-30 nLv!

Round 2
--------
As it seems to have become custom with -SIN-, nLv takes a rather lengthy breakeaving themselves pretty vulnerable to the onslaught.

Round 2
--------
As it seems to have become custom with -SIN-, nLv takes a rather lengthy break between rounds, trying to figure out who among our 300 people that showed up tonight, would be in for rd2. Sponge cries a lot and weasels his way onto Offense while we try to fit in everyone else who didn't get to play rd1. Met and I engage in hot, sensual cyber sex in HLTV while sin (nLv's sin) comes in to take the Demo spot from shade.

Whatever the nLv Defense did rd1, they did again rd2 and locked down the base. Fury came in after some connection issues from Round 1 to take the FD HW spot and did an awesome job. SIN ends up running a couple of pyros and a sniper to try to keep him at bay, but it's too little too late and the D does quite well rd2.

Keeping with the trend, the SIN defense also clicks into gear (or maybe the nLv O just sucked terribly because sponge was on it) and makes a remarkable improvement over rd1. From what I could tell in HLTV their strat was more or less the same, but this time they seemed more prepared to deal with whatever we could throw at them.

nLv O starts off a bit quicker this round, but gets stopped in its tracks about halfway through. The remainder of the round looks like a bit of a yawner while SIN's pyros scorch our front door and the bridge turns into a spamfest. Luckily there were only a few minutes left at this point and there didn't seem to be any really big issues.

Final
------
As was expected, SIN played a great clean game. Despite the monotony of the same names and "faces" every week, I wish we could play these kinds of guys a lot more often. I'd say twice in a week is probably enough for now though :]

Next time perhaps I'll play some D and let -SIN- have their way with my bum -_-

Final Score: 190-30 nLv!

GG (again) SIN! See you next time (knock on wood)

P.S. Screw up my writeup, STA Submit Form. I dare you.
