fXp over KoB

Wow, there really aren?t words that I know that can properly express the emotions I am feeling right now. Tonight -]fXp[- played our last match and it was everything I could have hopped for as a leader and member. We lost badly round one; switched up to a new strategy and clawed our way back in round two against a team that for the most part has ruined our shit every time we faced them.

Much respect for KoB, there aren?t many teams I?d like to go out against other than you guys. Maybe KHR since we?ve played them so many times. GL to you KoB, and thanks for making tonight a very memorable experience that we won?t soon forget.

GG to TFC, I remember us just starting in STA 5v5 and watching 9v9 games back in 2002 evaluating if we wanted to bother playing 9v9 or not, and I am glad we did. Much love to TFL, STA ADL/9v9/5v5 and OGL 5v5 for all the fun times you gave us. Much love to all the clans we faced, even the ones we didn?t like at the time.

Rd 1 ? Had both teams starting with quick caps but KoB exploited the hell out of our defense, killing poor mH`Sofa-Nv 100 times and capping/relaying far too many times for us to catch up. Kob defense owned our offense pretty much, because they didn?t do much more than one cap. Actually the only bright spot was yank getting owned pretty hardcore, he was crowbared and wrenched multiple times by the KoB defense (I bet hybrid had something to do with that - thanks guys).

Rd 2 ? I went offense and I_Suck subbed in for dots, while Collin came in for me on defense. I switched around a few positions on defense and started conc?ing. The defense switch worked well, we held them for most of the game and the winning points actually came from defense holding the flag so many times. Our offense never gave up and pulled out enough caps to pull ahead, with one in the last minute, after a flag return moments earlier, which got us a final win and give me a final chance to type a write-up.

We won the bronze Titleshot in our previous match on 8-8-05, and KoB won the next one on 8-15-05 so technically this was a Titlematch even if the books don?t list it as such. How much better can it get than winning the Title against a team you respect in your last match? Everyone who played tonight played beyond their normal limits and I couldn?t be more proud of any of you guys or of our performance. That was awesome.

Playing this final time was the experience I was looking for the entire time I played TFC, amazing teamwork and amazing teammates. I can?t imagine TFC or even where?d I?d be in life without knowing you guys.
