nLv over [inferno]

Mr_Rage must stand up. I repeat, Mr_Rage must stand up. Cuz I'm gonna have a problem here. Because you all act like you've never seen a guy that sucks at TFC before, ok fuck it. I can't freestyle like my hero eminem. My point is: I have to go pee, and perhaps vomit. I don't feel like doing a writeup, but I ahte looking at my small penis in the mirror above my toilet, because it's disheartening. So to prolong the time that I must crush my ego and urinate, I will do a writeup.

Tonight we played inferno. I swear to god this might ahve been the first time we've ever played them ,but something tells me I'm wrong. Either way, they're pretty notorious for their socially unacceptable style of play, but seeing as it's 2005, and the world is a changing place, I guess we can't hold it against them for trying to utilize all 9 classes.

As I've told them, if I weren't drunk, this would probably be a flame of a writeup, but since I am... I'm rather giddy and optimistic. And after ending one motherfuck of a week, I'm quite pleased to take a good-natured, fun win in TFL.

Since no one really likes cz, and 10 players is tough to come by in this day and age of TFC, we opted to play security_r. inferno insisted on 9v9, and since it was the better alternative to cz, we agreed.

Round 1

In nLv's server, we actually find ourselves scraping for players. We end up having to bring ken out of retirement to play his first round of TFC in almost 2 years. Anyways, funny enough, inferno, after insisting on 9v9, only comes up with 8. With ken playing O we might as well have run 8 too ,because he's just not as hot as he used to be. Sounds like Florida needs more hurricanes to get him back in the mood.

Rd1 starst and it's a slow boring round, as would be expected on 9v9 sec_r. inferno runs their notorious melting pot of defensive TFC classes, and amazing, it really works rpetty well against an offense that consists of sub-par players such as myself and ken.

Anyways, nLv makes the first pull a ways into it. More importantly, _I_ make the first pull and we bring it home. inferno answers back quite some time later, but nLv takes a 2-1 lead at the end. For the most part, inferno's Defense comes off as more of an annoyance than an actual hinderance. Their snipers are annoying as hell, but for the most part they're easy to get by. It's the 5 D that really made it tough for us, regardless of what those D were.

The quick-respawning Sniper and Engy that were dedicated to inferno's generator made us quickly drop the idea of trying to get their lasers down. Had it been for a little more coordination, I dare say we'd have made a lot more pulls. For the most part we just kind of hit wherever we feel like, and occasionally the chips fall in the right places to get us a good pull.

So the round finally ends, and we head back to IRC. Everyone but me is a little cranky, cuz no one really likes to play against that kind of D, along with the OvO (although I don't think I got OvO'd in rd1). Either way, we come back in the lead.

Round 2

So like I said, back in IRC everyone is up in arms except me, cuz I'm drunk. Normally I'd be leading them in the flames, but alas, I didn't feel like it tonight, due to the heart-to-heart that berg and I shared before the match. <3

So I persuade people to stay and play a rd2, and even get ShortFuse to show up and play in ken's spot. I'm amazing, I know.

Sid's homosexual faggotry is sadly missed for this match, as he felt his future and education were more important than 30 minutes of a video game. What a disillusioned idiot.

Rd2 in inferno's server, which everyone seems to like a lot more than ours, except for me. I still ping about 150 to it.

Rd2 starts and it seems to be going hte same as rd1. It's either 0-0 or 1-1 for a while before nLv picks up a 2nd wind. shade does some nice dm'ing in the main room, while ar6 and sf make most of the pulls in this round. I kind of twiddle my thumbs and pretend to be useful on teh batts, trying to take sg's out, but instead just running head-first into lasers a lot.

We make some nice pulls and some nice caps against them. But the good thing about inferno's D is that no matter how much they lose by, they can always say:

Yeah gfj, you won against a D that consisted of snipers, and pyros!

but whatever! I will take this moment to enjoy our 4W streak, regardless of how short it will last!

So shortfuse comes to save the day for the O in rd2, and the D does pretty darned well both rounds, considering we made our strat during prematch and just kinda goofed. But i'm assuming that's wht inferno did too :o

So it aws fun. God knows this is the only time I'll ever call a mtach like this fun, but for the sake of my sanity: berg, please remind me to drink a lot next time we have to play you guys :D

Final

Well, I won't bother flaming, because we won, and personally I had a blast. Round 2 there was a bit more rampant OvO and I'm sorry to say I retalliated a bit for it and killed an innocent puppy dog spy. i apologize. but if i had the chance to do it again, i'd kill tempest instead.

Final Score: 60-20 nLv!
