Writeup:

nLv over S-CREW

As the esteemed members of S-CREW pointed out, the last time we met up was a loooong time ago, when giants roamed the earth. They trampled us in a title shot match, and being the only current nLv member who was actually in nLv at the time, I decided that it was necessary to hold a grudge, and thereby infuse said grudge upon the genetically altered brains of my helper monkeys.

Our server took a dump today and is out for the forseeable future. inferno was kind to loan us their server for about 15 minutes so that we could come up with a rough strat, before rudely booting us off. So we came into tonight without any real practice (though it's an old map, so I guess most people wouldn't need any), and a fairly routine strat that we came up with in IRC.

Round 1
-------
We joined up S-CREW's server. It, like almost every other TFC server but our own, provided pretty good pings all around - even for me. Berserker refused to play tonight, but when shade decided he would want to O if he played, and I decided I would engy instead, Ber jumped at the opportunity to prevent me from dragging the clan down with me. So in the last 15 seconds of prematch ber comes in in a miracle lineup change sorta thing, and I go back to Offy.

Round 1 was so uneventful. Tempest is surely a better Demo than he is a Sol, so we had him Demo'ing the ladder/lift/pack area instead of running a sol there. Meanwhile SF touched up on his roots (when i first met him, he was an awesome sol - back in 2000'ish), and filled in in the ramp room with the lagging, but loveable equinox.

S-CREW's D, meanwhile, is frickin' amazing and meshing very well. Fusion and whoever their other rotating sol were all over the place, and thanks to their tele, which their engy diligently kept up, they shut out our O for 90% of the round.

I don't know how we got the flag out, but we did, and i think nLv got the first cap? Could be mistaken. Either way, it's tied eventually at 1-1 when S-CREW, who had been picking away at our D the entire time, made some openings and brought a second flag home for themselves.

There was a little OvO coming from their side of things, but nothing I'm willing to turn my urethra inside-out over.

All-in-all this was an intense, but boring round, and gave us a lot to think about for round 2: namely how much tempest sucks, and how much I miss making fun of sid in my writeups.

Rd1 Offense: fury, ar6, fru, me
Rd1 Defense: equ, sf, ied, ber, tempest
Rd1 Score: 15-30 S-CREW!

Round 2
-------
So we come back to IRC planning on making a few changes. With equinox spiking every couple of seconds, a good number of screws made it past him in rd1. Miraculously sub showed up right on time and volunteered for the spot. Meanwhile Fru asked to take the fake wall spot for tempest, and thus began the greatest grudge match of all time between Tempest and equinox.

Two teenage titans battling not only for the free rd2 offensive slot, but also for the love of a fair lady named fury. Alas, fury's cleavage proved too much for equinox, who had dabbled and experimented in college, and equinox conceded to tempest.

Tempest did the most homosexual jig I have ever seen in my life, and promptly placed his nut sac on my forehead, to which I giggled.

So with our changes made, and equinox riding the pine, we headed back into S-CREW's server.

This round our O focused a lot of energy on keeping S-CREW's teleporter down. I never saw it up for more than 1 use, and often times not even that. Their tele was possibly their saving grace in rd1, and we decided to put a stop to that right off the bat.

With tempest at the head of our flaming fury, we spam, and we frag, and we gib our way to the S-CREW flag room. The first flag comes out and after some work, comes home.

We realize that our new attack strat is working, so we keep gpoing with it, keeping their tele down, and letting tempest run around with mirvs tucked under his trench coat.

each one of the nLv O makes some pulls this round, but by far the most notable were all he ones by me. Just because.

We mesh in every which way and send S-CREW's D reeling in terror at the stench being emitted from our arm pits.

At our base, our D is doing great too. We had a scare at the beginning when it was 15-0 us, but they returned it promplty. It was 45-0 before S-CREW retalliated and brought one home. At the same time though, nLv was bringing one home of our own, making it 60-15.

We pull our final flag to S-CREW's ramp room, where they struggle to hold it. I grab the flag and get blasted way back across the room towards their respawn and try lose the flag there.

A hard fought battle ensues for who will get the last flag, and in the end it looks to be Tempest who wins. BUT WAIT. In a covert operation, I lobbed a spare grenade at tempest's forehead, in retalliation to the sweaty spots from his testicles that were still remaining on mine, and poor tempest gibbed beautifully.

Meanwhile I cruised around beverly hills with my new flag buddy, and eventually took it home for the last cap of the evening.

Our whole O rocked in rd2, and our D (especially fru) was mediocre, at best.

Rd2 Offense: tempest, ar6, fury, me
Rd2 Defense: fru, ber, ied, sub, sf
Rd2 Score: 75-15 nLv!

Final
-----
I'm glad we finally settled the score for that title you took away from us way back in the day. This was an intense match, and I honestly thought after our first cap that we were gonna be heading to overtime, but something just clicked for us, or unclicked for S-CREW, and we just took advantage of it.

Clean game except for some OvO, but nothing too bad. I hate bases, but I had a good time.

Final Score: 90-45 nLv!

Forgot to mention that this was our 100th win in STA, and now I get to gloat about it! This makes us the only current clan in STA, with the exception of FOoM, with 100 or more wins. In terms of matches played, we also come in second, trailing FOoM. In terms of time in the league without disbanding, we are rivaled by FOoM, who started roughly a year before us, and 30+1, who got the jump on us by a month. We come in tied, as the 3rd longest lasting clan in STA, sharing our STA birthday of June 18, 2001, with the fantabulous K}{R and TNT! All I can say is that I'm happy we hit 100 wins before we hit 100 losses :) gg s-crew, and gg sta o_O
