-459 over H2K
Well GG H2K was hella fun. ;)
H2K was syaing how they wanted to start 30 minutes late. Most of us (meaning all bu styn) disagreed. Regardless they had 8 players by 9:11, so we started then.
We played round 1, 9 vs. 8. So basically they ran 3 O (they say 1 O, but lol, no). So witht their 3 O, they could hardly get in past the elevator or spiral. That left them with a total of 2 points for round 2. I don't even know how they got those, but whatever. Our O had a hard time getting in also. It's probably because half their players are TDA. Oh well, we were getting just a few points at a time. With about 5 minutes left in round 1, it was 8-2 or something. Finally we manage to get a flag out to the ramp room, or something, or maybe water. Anyway we get the cap with 35 seconds left. Round ends 23-2.
At the start of round 2, we knew we were lucky having them only have 8 players, and us with the lead. Round 2, however, they had 9 players. We manage to pull out a quick one, and now we're really happy. So we use the same leet strat on defense round 2, but they manage to get it out the ele. I call for mad tutrtle, because we simply can't lose. Win at all cost my friends. So there's demo spam everywhere, SG front door. Spam everywhere, again. O soldiers. All fun. With about 5 minutes of them trying to get it out of the ramp room, they finally cap. I call for one O to come to full time D soldier, and it works quite well. Until they run HW O.
It was tied 15-15. Still up by 21--phew! Next they get another flag out to the ramp room. THis time they a cap before we can really spam it up.
Shit! 30-15, only up by 6 points now. We get a point or two inbetween, but we're only up by 6 or something when they get another flag out to our water. HW was down and shit. Anyway, I call for the holiest of holy turtlese. So theres fucking spam to hell in the water. Omg, I thought the water would evaporate or something. The whole water = explosions. So they had like like 8 people trying to cap, because we were only up by 6 points. With that, our leet leader Styn went and got their flag out and went water. He basically raped them all cuz hes 1337. So we fucking get that cap, and get another 15 points. Tied now. I'm leagally deaf because everyone on vent is screaming, and so do I, but I dont know why because I'm deaf and cant hear anything.
So there's like 3 minutes left now and we keep spamming our flag in water and hold that shit for for the longest time. Somehow they got it out of the water and capped, but we're still up from round 1. Since basically of their players were trying to get it, and they still didn't learn a lesson from that other cap we got, we pull another flag out of the water. There's like one minute left and it's on the bridge. They all fucking come out now and spam it, but we get it to the battlements with 20 seconds left, and some newb SD capped it for us. Round ends 46-45, us. Fucking intense. But all this time I'm still deaf, but I'm pretty sure everyone is fucking screaming and alughing and shit.
Match ends with a lot of flames. We always get fucking raped in TFL by lame strats, so we dieced to turn around and do the same shit. Since half their team TDA and crying lame, and say what goes around comes around. We say this is the come around. Fuckers, TDA played lame against us anyway. So do all the teams in TFL. Our turn. This is really like the first time we've done intense turtle shit or anything, so doen't flame us on the KSE. Sorry if this is too fucking long too.

This is the first time we've turtled since the n~ match, good times :) unfortunately most teams would have done the same thing had flag been in the water with a couple minutes left. But we'll get all the shit for it. We ran 6d half of rd 2 and spammed for about 3 minutes. not THAT bad.

You can ask anyone in -459 and they'll tell you I'm the last person to suggest turtling. I'm still in favor of Max D and strategy regulations. However, TFL is not a league that regulates strategies. I guarantee that any clan in the same position as we were last night (6 points difference with our flag in the water under the bridge) would have done the exact same thing. Hell, even the regulation proposals in the captains forums right now are to leave the option to turtle in that situation. Part of the TEAM fortress classic idea of using the whole TEAM to win.
You have to realize that at no time to we pull 9 D. While our flag was in the water, we got out two of H2K's flags b/c they were running too many O and couldn't defend thier flag. If we had 9 D, as they'd like to claim, how'd we cap your flag? Did you bring it to our battlements for us?
As for the TDA bit.. TDA ran 6 D (that's counting thier full-time OvO medic) against us on sd2 (8v8) not to win, but to get a shutout. The final score was 90-0 for TDA. So, if you want to come in all self-righteous about how you are the Jesus Christ of TFC and how you would never do anything like that, you can shove it right up your ass. Wheaties, Rug, and the rest of you ex-TDA hypocrits, get over yourselves. You are no better than anyone.. in fact.. you are worse.. because you turtled against -459, yes.. -459... a fucking silver clan.. just to keep a shutout. Then you cry b/c we turtle when the flag is in the yard to secure a win.

(To Adverse and the other players in H2K that weren't bawling, GG to you. I'm sure you'll take our next matchup... unless its on a CP map)
Also, if you are a TFL clan captain and are opposed to turtling or other nontraditional tactics, then go to the TFL captains forums and voice your opinion. There's been a thread there on this very issue for months. Most captain are actually opposed to strat regulation, so speak up if your opinion differs.

It's really pathetic that people are arguing over our win. Everyone knows that TFL has more lenient rules against using more D. Since this is possible, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you really didn't like turtling, you would of posted about, as Stayne mentioned above.
