Writeup:
AGT over K}{R
Tonight we faced up against one of the tougher clans in bronze and also one of the classiest. We were excited that we got to face them on our best map tho, cz2 is the great equalizer with the right strat. Both rounds were on their server and away we go......
Round 1 starts off as we almost grab an all-cap right at the start and we think that maybe we can win this one walking away, big mistake. |K}{R| would start to bend a bit from time to time but they simply wouldn't break. We managed to control 1, 3, and 4 for the majority of the round building about a 35 pt. lead when they JUST missed grabbing an all-cap to bring things almost even in the last 5 mins or so. We managed to push them back again and end the round with a small but comforting lead despite not being able to grab an all-cap.
Round 1: AGT - 138 |K}{R| - 90
Round 2 we talked about going aggressively after their engy in their home point as he played a big part in holding us at bay, moving his gun all over and killing our heavies at 3. Unfortunately for |K}{R| they made a tactical error round 2 and decided to drop that engy for a demo and medic going after our base. The theory was sound as they send both of those guys and their heavies right thru 3 to get to our base and cause chaos all round long, the problem was that we slipped our heavies thru as well and managed to keep snaking their scouts before they could safely leave their side of the map. We managed to dominate for a good 10-15 minute span grabbing 5 all-caps before they righted the ship and threw an engy back at their home point, but by then it was only a matter of how much we'd win by.
Round 2: AGT - 272 |K}{R| - 78
I think that had they stuck to the r1 strat they cold have made a game of it, but trying new things on the fly is part of TFC for better or worse.
Vgg to them tho as they played balls out to the very end. Merry X-mas guys and gl on the 2nd.

VGG guys. We'll be seein yes around. Just so we're clear though, its all Vipers fault.
Inc still looks like the back side of a rather large seacow.

And given what you like to do to seacows, I'm not sure how to respond to that jsb. :)
I got to run flags at the end of round 2, which was a welcome change. Its nice when the fatties can outconc the lights ;o

GG AGT, to be honest, I was afraid this was going to be a rediculous blow out. Maybe a 9v9 CTF map match up is in order -_-
But honestly, cz2 was a KHR big winner too. But again, we changed strat, and had two lagging out Dorm room screwed HW's
GG!

I actually didn't start running medic until we were behind by quite a bit. Had to argue with viper a little--I wanted to run only two flag runners with a medic roaming, if we hadn't made up our round one deficit by halfway through the round. We hadn't (without an engie AGT got several full-caps), so I went medic. We actually made up a little ground when I started doing that, but then both Illusionz and Taleniekov, our heavies, lagged out--they're roommates at college. Without heavies, and playing two down, that was all she wrote.
