nLv over BoA

Last time we played BoA they spanked us, quite appropriately on monkey_l, no less (if you're cool, you'll see the connection).

We wanted a new map and a change of pace, and everyone seemed psyched about machinations. It seemed like a potentially good offensive map to me, when running around it, but it proved to be the opposite tonight.

It should be noted that BoA wanted to change maps and we denied them because we're prissy little prisses...

So we warmed up about 10-20 mins before match time, just goofing around mostly, and not getting a strat of any real sort until a few minutes before we got started.

Round 1

I really don't remember the details of this map. It was a pretty repetative map, in all truth, but a little more exciting than your typical map at least.

Both teams got some good movement, pulling the flags to the ramp a LOT, and both teams got a lot of returns. nLv managed to find holes, and get lucky, and ended up bringing a few more flags home.

We exploited a weak spot with their water/pack solly and perhaps that's what gave us the advantage. It certainly wasn't tempest, that's safe to say.

So ber does his thing, and pretty much carries our team. I'm giving no credit to Fru, as he was probably hacking and won't give me his demos. Our D was a little rough at the very start, but they got situated very quickly (once whore learned the map, about 5 minutes in) and spammed and held a lot of flags.

BoA had a flag in their yard when the round ended, which we defended like rabid possums.

Rd1 Defense: ber, ied, whore, fru, tempest
Rd1 Score: 40-20 nLv!

Round 2

We end up back in nLv/agile's server for rd2, and aside from bringing agile in for ber, we run the same thing in rd2.

I think we start off with some good movement again, and we bring the first one home, but BoA is right on our heels for most of this round. I think we kept the lead the whole time, but it was pretty close.

Both BoA and nLv make some good holds this round. BoA, despite our amazing offense pulls off a nice and rarely successful (in most other matches, probably) cluster fuck on one flag that woulda given us some nice cushion to work with.

Round 2 BoA moves their HW to the FR and despite the scores, I think he was more effective than their solly, but not nearly as annoying... if that makes sense.

So I manage to do less amazing stuff in rd2 than I did in rd1, but it's ok because all of my previous matches have been flawless and I'm allowed to err every once in a while... especially when compared to tempest.

and rd2 ends more or less the same as rd1, with both teams working hard, and nLv clinging to a slim lead for most of the round.

Final

I don't know what this makes us against BoA -- I'm pretty sure they still are beating us overall, but oh well. I thought it was a fun change of pace, but I probably wouldn't think the same thing if we'd been on the losing end... sorry to BoA that we weren't willing to change maps.

Good game overall, nice and clean, just like tempest's rectum after a 3 hour ass-fuck gang bang!

... followed by 8 people laughing hysterically over voice comms. Nerds!
