3Q over THOA
3Q-THOA / hellion / STA Silver
Tough map for the offenses playing this thing 9v9, but I'll not dwell on that.
Round 1 starts on THOA's home turf. No one is getting anywhere close to the flags for the first 1/2 of the match - it looks like its gonna be knotted at 0 for the entire round. Finally our O pulls off some very nice coordination to steal the prize and slowly but surely drags it towards the front door and, ultimately, a cap to put 3Q up 1-0. Seems like that causes something because 2 more caps come our way to give us a 3-0 lead. Meanwhile our D is playing very solid. Endurance is fuckin' psycho at the front door either killing or severely crippling everything that he saw while the rest of the D played cleanup However, Endurance must have quickly looked away at some porn for a few seconds cause THOA gets their O deep into our D and grabs the flag and begins moving it towards the front door. THOA gets the flag all the way to the fd and a frantic barrage of spam ensues. Much to 3Q's delight the flag returns. With about 6 minutes to go Cye's house loses all power causing him to !
exit. I jump in to finish out the round with an uneventful 1 kill and 1 death
At rounds end its 3Q up 3-0
RD1 offense: tm, mo, brick, bally
RD1 defense: skull, doc, crazy, endurance, cye/exe
Round2 we play the 'lets shuffle the players around' exercise and we get going on our Texas server. THOA does something and gets a touch in the first 20 seconds, wtf - but we get the return. Our O remembers their coordination from rd1 and gets some early flag movement as well, but ultimately the flag returns. Our guys get a touch shortly thereafter and then the first cap. It takes until almost half way through the round before we get another to put us up 2-0. Meanwhile THOA is crashing the button harder this round, the result is they get a bit more flag movement than they did in RD1. They eventually run a solly on O which seems to help because they eventually run away with our flag to cap it. Our O gets one more to put us up 3-1 which is ultimately how the round ended.

Wow....all I heard was some loud explosion a few blocks from my house and instantly I lose my internet connection. Next thing I hear is a bunch of firetrucks heading that way. Called comcast and I get the stupid automated message saying service is out in the area indefinately. I still have power.
Though the logs say I dropped at the 24 min mark, I'm pretty sure it was a minute or two before that because the flag was still inside the lasers when my connection dropped. They probably rushed button and pulled it out that way =/ Anyway good to see you guys still held the flag.
Not sure when I'll get internet back at home. (I'm at work right now). But don't count on me being around for a couple days atleast.
