Well Well. So this match took place over the course of 2 1/2 hours. I think more time was spent talking to admins than playing TFC itself.
Round 1 was surprisingly good. Both teams kept the pace of flag captures up and it was neck and neck most of the round. Rabid did manage to keep the marginal lead the entire time though so all was well there! At one point we were up 3 caps but inferno came back to make it close. Oh and don't forget *quote of inferno* Bitch Bitch this server sux Bitch Bitch this server lags Bitch Bitch this is unfair
Round 2 was on inferno's eastern africa server. While it proved to ping well for some, 2 of rabid's starting offense was hindered with 150 pings solid. Of course, this is not considered BAD in inferno terms, and us being rabid didn't even bitch about our own pings yep that is right! We suck it up and deal with it cause it was not the server but our shitty routing. So this round ends up with Inferno taking in 2 caps while rabid struggles to get more than 1. It was hard when our only option was to fling all our nades at the opposing defense who did nothing but fling large amounts of nades. So Inferno pulls out this one and ties it all up.
This is where a Sudden death single cap round takes longer than the 2 previous rounds combined.
Berg begins in IRC by bitching that our server is not suitable to play on, all because 1 , possibly 2 players ping higher than 100. OH DEAR GOD. Sorry but the server was fine across the board for most people. None the less this did not satisfy the great Berg and he continued to consult with a TFL admin to rectify the situation and try to deem our server as unplayable. Sorry this was not going to happen! Well while we were in the server getting ready to go, Berg requested WF's participation in IRC to talk with Gemini about the server situation. Berg put is in a predicament where we were short a player due to his clever manipulative powers to tie one of my players up with a co-admin of TFL league. To sum this up, it wasn't fair to BOTH TEAMS that the first sudden death round wasn't live. Rabid was short due to Inferno's request for the match to be intervened by TFL. Rabid was not a full team at this time and inferno thinking that cap was justified is funny!
So the REAL sudden death starts with no more admin bullshit and all 9 players in on both teams. If inferno were truly the better team, they would of capped first right? WRONG. They didn't get squat and rabid came out flying with the flag for the win. This is exactly what would of happened if you didn't spend all your time crying to TFL admins like you do every week after week after week.
