[miX]- over IGC
After an embarassing loss to [FOoM] last week (no offense guys, but we played just plain awful), we felt that we needed to come correct for tempest. And it didn't really matter who we played, we just had to be prepared.
Both rounds we continued to run a pretty conventional strat that held up quite well. Novacaine played substitute demo to keep Ice's seat warm in his absense and did a decent job.
Round 1 was kept at a steady pace with both offenses getting quick scout rush caps. With tempest, it's pretty hard keeping any offense out of the flag room on the rush. [IGC] was able to keep a short leash on our ability to move flags as their own offense moved much better than we did. As time marched on, we were able to figure the best entrance/exit route as their D was able to adjust to every jab we came with. But much like dh's mom at a fat peoples' convention, we couldn't keep our hands out of the cookie jar. Round ends 106-33 miX
I'd say round 2 started off pretty much the same way round 1 did. Only, we were able to capitalize on the adjustments IGC's defense made. Later on in the round "someone" stepped on "someone else's" pumas and the festivities began. Apparently max decided to turn his monitor on this round and start playing.
Apparently Vampire intended on NOT showing up for this match because of more important matters. Well he used his magical Transylvanian powers to show up round 2. Unfortunately he did not aid his offense what so ever. Matter of fact, they probably should've kept their previous lineup in, but that's just ventrilo's oppinion. Round ends 128-9.
I guess the lesson learned today would be to always listen to Vampire.

Overall was a great match throughout, with the exception of the last two minutes of round 2...but that shit was kinda called for.
