/tmp overcomes TiTz in hot TFL action
I was looking forward to this match, as I've pubbed with Lightnin' many times, and guessed that we could expect a good game. Hooray for being right!
Oppose2k is all about two things... a)groundwork (I'd swear that the doorframes and ledges were designed specifically to retard concing around inside the base), and b)staring slackjawed at the names floating in space at the beginning, wondering if I could ever get that famous. If I did, I'd probably go into pubs that I had rcon on and change the map to the one that sang the glory of my name whenever possible. A man can dream can't he?
Both rounds played out fairly similarly, the first on our home base, Smell My Finger, and the second on the TiTz server. Eschewing the scout rush, we just dispatched the maintenance crews to get the elevator working so we could triumphantly ascend into a cloud of spam. Later, we sent our crack teams of adolescents to ring their doorbell and run away, while our spies got to the flag disguised as semi-vagrant petition signature collectors. Titz made us work for our caps, but armed with our secret power of non-sequiter we lifted and seperated a half dozen flags from their personal space each round.
Meanwhile, our defence refused to get flustered. Surrounded by (enemy clan players with name that lends itself to puns) pressing in on all sides, they kept up their communication and only let out a couple flags per round. Final scores 60-30 for /tmp round 1, 60-20 for /tmp round 2.
Titz... good players, good sports, good game.
