/tmp Loses Silver Title Match
Monday /tmp squared off for the Silver Title against a tough Hard 2 Kill team. We practiced and scrimmed this map hard and were about as prepared as we could be. To add fun and excitment the match was broadcast on GamesNET Radio. I listened to the Game Cast after the match and the DJ did a great job, he was a riot. Now on to the match...
Round 1
H2K's Mid-west server was causing /tmp/Renegade and /tmp/Dr. to drool. Defense Battle-comm was filled with the sounds of Keymaster finishing his dinner. The story for the first 15 mins of the battle was DEFENSE. For awhile it looked like the round was going to end up in a stalemate. /tmp was haveing a very hard time getting to the enemy flag room. H2K was doing a little better, they actually moved the flag pretty regularly only to have it returned by the rock solid flag piping of DKStrike. Finally, H2K pulled a flag out for a cap, 10 mins later they got another. It was obvious that H2K was finding a hole in the armor of the /tmp defense. On the third flag to be capped, H2K was ready for a relay and ended up getting their fourth cap with only a few minutes left in the match. Unfortunately, the /tmp offense couldn?t get a flag outta the flagroom, they had a couple tosses to the flag room bridge but H2K locked it down pretty hard.

Round 2
This round /tmp made some major changes. Defensively we tried something completely different and H2K ran off 2 quick caps. We tried to adjust back to a modification of our regular defense but we never got back in synch like we were the first part of round 1. Meanwhile our offense was also having a tough time. Cyn came in to sling EMPs and lead the offensive charge with Templar, Greenbudz, and Blanks. Blanks vowed to kill those AWP camping whores and Cyn sacrificed life and gibs on the pipes of the front door demo of H2K. H2K came out the victor on this round easily as their offense was really rolling. /tmp offense tried everything they had, even the kitchen sink a few times but just couldn?t pull a flag. In game H2K played an awesome match and were a great example of class and maturity. Too bad I cant say the same about how they acted in the HLTV server, I suppose that?s why those guys were riding the pines.
